Content Calendar: Sell a Monthly Posting Calendar That Ends in a Personal Report
The skill that builds a posting calendar you sell to your customers.
This skill builds a monthly posting calendar in your brand that you sell to someone else's audience: your customers pick their posting days and two of your content pillars, and get a month of prompts and a personal calendar built from their choices.
It is not a tool for planning your own posts. You are getting the thing that builds a calendar product your customers buy, whether they are teachers writing parent updates, church teams running a Facebook page, bookkeepers who know they should be on LinkedIn or anyone else who has to show up online. The skill interviews you about your audience, your content pillars and the prompts that fit each season, then builds the calendar and the report with you, and hands you a finished calendar with your name in the footer.
What Your Customer Sees
The worked example is The Listing Season Calendar, built for a made-up business called Curb & Copy so you can see the branding is yours to replace. It is made for agents who sell homes. Your customer picks a month, taps the days of the week they can post and chooses two of five content pillars, such as Market Pulse and Listing Spotlight. The month fills itself with a prompt and a caption starter for every posting day, matched to the season, and they can open any day to swap its prompt or copy its caption. Then they get a personal calendar of ten or eleven pages built from their own choices: a cover with their name, the date and their month as a grid of colored day chips; a page naming their posting rhythm, with what they want to be known for quoted back; a page for each of their two pillars, with a sample post ready to copy; every week of the month written out, each post dated with its prompt and caption starter; a batch plan with a dated batch day before each week and a review at month end, which they tick off; and a closing page that points to your next product. Their choices, swapped prompts and plan ticks save in their browser, and they keep the whole calendar as a designed PDF.
What This Becomes in Your Business
The calendar works best anywhere the year has a rhythm your customers post around. A few ideas:
- Teachers: The Parent Update Calendar, a month of class updates for ClassDojo, Seesaw or the Friday newsletter that follows back to school, conferences and testing season, with prompts that leave out student names and faces unless permission is on file.
- Faith and ministry: The Church Week Calendar, posting days for a church team from the Sunday recap to midweek encouragement, mapped to Advent, Lent and Easter.
- Bookkeepers and service providers: The Tax Season LinkedIn Calendar, with posting prompts that follow tax season, quarter end and the slow summer months.
- Fitness and wellness: The Studio Posting Calendar, for yoga and Pilates studio owners who need to fill classes, with prompts that ride the January rush and the fall restart.
- Handmade and makers: The Market Season Calendar, for makers who sell at craft fairs and online, building up to the holiday markets.
- Photographers: The Booking Season Calendar, with prompts that fill fall mini sessions, holiday cards and wedding season before the calendar gets quiet.
