Resource Directory: Sell a Local Map Guide That Ends in a Personal Report

Sale price$59.00

The skill that builds your own resource directory for your customers.

This skill builds a curated directory of places in your brand that you sell to your customers: they browse an illustrated map by area, filter it to what suits them, star their favorites, and get a personal guide with their shortlist as numbered pins and a dated month of visits.

You are getting the thing that builds a local guide your customers buy, whether it covers venues, vendors, classes or outings. The skill interviews you about the area, how it splits into zones and the places you would stand behind, then builds the map, the list and the guide with you, and hands you a finished directory with your name in the footer. Places change, so the skill has you check and date every one before launch.

What Your Customer Sees

The worked example is The Rainy Day Brightwater Guide, built for a made-up business called Puddle Jump Guides in a made-up town, so you can see the branding is yours to replace. It is made for families new in town with kids under eight. Your customer taps the parts of town they can reach, sets the kids' ages, and stars places from a list that filters to both, from a children's museum to a pottery cafe. Each star becomes a numbered pin on the map, with room for a note. Then they get a personal guide of six to ten pages, depending on how many zones they picked: a cover with their shortlist as numbered pins on the map; a named profile, such as Close to Home or Explorer; a page for each zone they picked, with their notes quoted; a message to invite another family along, ready to copy; a month of outings dated on the day they choose, which they tick off; and a closing page that points to your next product. Their zones, stars, notes and plan ticks save in their browser, and they keep the whole guide as a designed PDF.
